Why I Write ?

For me, writing begins long before words reach a page. It begins with a thought that lingers, an emotion that asks to be understood, or a moment that refuses to pass quietly. I write not to impress or instruct, but to understand, reflect and give shape to what I feel. Sometimes the words become a book; sometimes they simply make the heart a little lighter. These books are pieces of that journey written from within, with the hope that somewhere, they may speak to something within you too…

Feeling Without Falling (2026)

Feeling without falling

This peice began with a simple thought: we are taught so much about succeeding in life, but very little about understanding ourselves. We learn to build careers, communicate, perform and achieve—but rarely are we taught what to do with the emotions that arrive uninvited and refuse to leave. This book explores how understanding those emotions, rather than suppressing or simply “managing” them, can lead us towards greater balance, empathy and steadiness.

Through relatable stories, lived experiences and gentle pauses for reflection, each chapter becomes a quiet conversation between who you are and who you are becoming. The journey culminates in My EQ Journal, designed to turn reflection into a continuing practice because emotional awareness is not a one-time insight, but a lifelong conversation with yourself.

Let's Walk Through(2024)

This peice is an invitation to pause, reflect and navigate life with greater awareness. Through relatable stories, lived experiences and practical insights, the book explores the everyday habits, mindsets, behaviours and attitudes that quietly shape who we become—personally and professionally. Rooted in the philosophy of “Learn, Unlearn, Relearn,” it encourages readers to connect each thought with their own journey and discover how seemingly small shifts can create meaningful change.
More than a collection of reflections, this book is a gentle yet thought-provoking companion for anyone seeking to live and lead with greater intention. Its purpose is not to prescribe how life should be lived, but to challenge the familiar ways in which we think, respond, decide and grow. It invites readers to look beyond what they do and explore why they do it, to question long-held assumptions, recognise unnoticed patterns and turn everyday experiences into opportunities for self-discovery. Rather than offering ready-made answers, the book encourages a deeper conversation with oneself—because meaningful transformation often begins not with learning something new, but with seeing something familiar in an entirely new light.

The Heart Behind:

My writing has never evolved in isolation. At the heart of it has been the influence of Dr. Swati Lodha — my mentor, sounding board and inner compass.

Over years of conversations, reflections and shared experiences, she has continually challenged me to look beyond what is visible and explore what is happening within. Her philosophy of living with experiential presence — being fully inside our lives rather than merely observing them — has deeply influenced the way I think, feel and write.

From my earliest blogs to my books and everything I continue to create, her teachings around self-awareness, authenticity, emotional intelligence and the alignment of thought, word and action quietly find their way into my work.

Dr. Swati Lodha is an educationist, bestselling author, leadership expert, social entrepreneur and institution builder whose work spans leadership, human behaviour, parenting, education and personal transformation. Over more than two decades, she has coached thousands of leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, parents and young professionals, while her books and initiatives have reached audiences far beyond the classroom and boardroom. Her belief that meaningful leadership begins with knowing oneself resonates strongly with my own writing. She has taught me that growth is less about having all the answers and more about developing the courage to look inward, reflect honestly and evolve continuously — a philosophy that remains an enduring foundation of my journey as a writer.
